FUNYET Charters offers back country trips in their 18' 3" ProLine Stalker flats boat the KNOTYET, powered by Evinrude E-TEC V-4 These trips are limited to parties of 2 or less, unless arrangements are made beforehand.    
 
     Flats’ fishing is done on both the Atlantic and Gulf sides of the Lower Keys as well as on every flat in between.  Traditionally flats are polled by a Guide who stands on an elevated polling platform over the engine of the boat.  From this vantage point the guide can see fish as they travel and feed on the flat.  The guide will then direct your attention to the fish so you can sight cast to the fish.  You may choose either Light spin or fly fishing tackle.  Live bait is the most effective and is usually Shrimp, small Crabs, and Pinfish.

The main species targeted on the Flats are:  Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon, Mutton Snapper, Barracuda and Sharks.

FUNYET Charters also offers evening tarpon trips on the thirty foot FUNYET.  Fish through sunset in one of the Lower Keys deeper channels, where Large (usually over 100 lbs) tarpon travel from their daytime feeding grounds to the safety of the channels and to feed. These trips are offered spring and summer only.
       
Flats fishing etiquette requires all species caught to be released

Included: with the trip: Cooler with ice, Appropriate Bait, Tackle featuring Penn Fishing Reels, State and Federal fishing Licenses, Pickup service in some Lower Keys locations.

You Bring: Sun protection, Hat and Polarized sun glasses, What ever you would like to eat and drink, Camera, and a willingness to have fun. 

FUNYET Charters can arrange to have your trophy mounted through Gray Taxidermy, the worlds largest marine Taxidermist.

Evening tarpon trips in 30 foot FUNYET (4 hours)      $500

Additional time may be purchased, however, half day flats trips are enough for most anglers.
Depending on rising fuel prices it is possible that a fuel surcharge may be required.
